How Space and Time Could Be a Quantum Error-Correcting Code

https://www.quantamagazine.org/how-space-and-time-could-be-a-quantum-error-correcting-code-20190103/

Goddamnit. Sometimes I think about whether or not it's infinitesimally possible for reality to glitch and then you suddenly finding yourself in a random faraway location (like deep space, or the bottom of the ocean, for instance). So it looks like quantum computers do come with quantum ECC. And it's cool that their error rates can go so close to zero, but it's NOT zero. So does that mean you can glitch out and suddenly drown at the bottom of the ocean????

Behold Santa Clara, the Worst National Championship Venue Available

https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2019/1/3/18160692/santa-clara-national-championship-stadium-location-alabama-clemson

Hahaha. Levi's stadium is annoying even to the people who live here. It's this traffic disaster that ruins everything in the area on game nights and for some reason attendees keep dying mysteriously. (Seriously look it up!) It's just in the way, completely in the middle of office parks and suburbs and it doesn't make any sense. For real they close off the bike/walking/nature trail that goes behind it so that fans can go inside and it fucks everyone else up. I really want to know who the politician that really really fucking wanted a football stadium here. They're spending the big bucks overriding pretty much everyone else who hates this stadium.

I also didn't know that football teams hate it too or how hilariously shitty it is on the inside.

What Happened to the ArtStation Android App?

https://magazine.artstation.com/2018/12/happened-artstation-android-app/

Wow so it looks like getting individual people screwed for tweets and stuff isn't enough. It looks like tech SJWs have started to ban entire apps and other companies from having porn on them. We'll be in the middle of some neo-fascist regime soon.

Plastic Water Bottles, Which Enabled a Drinks Boom, Now Threaten a Crisis

https://www.wsj.com/articles/bottled-water-americas-most-popular-drink-has-a-plastic-problem-11544627923

Yes another article about plastics and polluting sorry. But this one talks about this startup called Loop that can somehow take any kind of plastic and recycle it into high quality new water bottles. The article explains that current recycling methods have a lot of constrains and can only reuse bottles that aren't too dirty. Apparently people have scrutinized Loop a lot and they seem to be the real deal.

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-daunting-aftermath-of-releasing-your-dream-game-as-told-by-the-devs-of-stardew-valley-owlboy-and-more/

Holy shit. Iconoclasts looks so good and the developer made it look easy judging by his own write-ups on his website. It's sobering to hear what he went through making the game.
