NASA Completes Full-Power Tests of Small, Portable Nuclear Reactor


Just like in The Martian! So the mars rover used solar panels, but dust kept on covering them so the rover shuts down. By sheer luck, wind storms regularly blow the solar panels clean and that's how the rover is able to keep working. For newer missions, NASA plans to just screw the solar panels and put a nuclear reactor directly into the rover. Cool plan, imo.
